Sometimes going into a wedding you know all sorts of details that the couple have planned and sometimes you get to discover everything as the day unfolds. Getting ready for Lowell and Paul’s wedding, we were excited to get to shoot at a new location, but we didn’t know what else we were in store for. When we arrived at the ceremony site we discovered an absolutely beautiful surprise. The property is owned by a master stone mason who used his quarry to create a series of cool features. There was a long stone wall, Scottish sheepfolds and the ceremony was held in the middle of a miniature Stonehenge.
Lowell was an absolutely ethereal bride.
We received a short photo list of “must-have photos” the day before the wedding and as we looked it over we saw something that caught our eye. “Bride with horse.” Horse?! Now we were really excited. It’s not every day that a horse gets in on the wedding festivities. It turns out Lowell had been riding since she was a young girl. We were floored to find out that she would be riding in bareback on beloved Spartacus, a giant white stallion.
The scenery, the happy bride and groom (and Sparticus!) made our job delightfully easy.
