This has been the year of incredibly nostalgic weddings for me. Carolyn, one of my most favorite people from my group of friends in high school, met her perfect match Cameron and decided to get hitched. Carolyn and I, along with some other good friends, shared the same music and alt-culture tastes and became thick as thieves in the awkward years of "high school". We all grew, established our careers, moved around the country and I, admittedly, lost touch with many of the people who made those trying years bearable (actually they turned out to be pretty fun). Fast forward some years, and Carolyn got back in touch and asked if I would photograph her wedding. "Of course!", I said. After all the ceremonial tasks were complete, and there was time to mill about the people, I found myself among all of the high-school friends I held so close to my heart and we reminisced about our youth and regaled our significant others with stories that should probably otherwise be relegated to our mental vaults (Sorry Jess!). Carolyn and Cameron were surrounded by the people that love them most. It was really amazing to reconnect with old friends, but more importantly, get to know Cameron and his cohorts and really get to meet the man who would make my friend so happy for the rest of her life.
